Founder and Patron of Yazidi Temples in Armenia

Mirza Sloyan was a Yazidi-Armenian businessman and philanthropist born near Aknalich, Armenia, in 1946. After establishing his life and business career in Russia, he became known for supporting Yazidi religious and cultural life in Armenia. He financed the construction of the Ziarat Temple and later initiated and funded Quba Mêrê Dîwanê in Aknalich, which opened in 2019. His work helped create an important religious, cultural and educational center for Yazidis in Armenia and contributed to the preservation of Yazidi identity and faith. He died in Germany on 3 November 2019. His mausoleum is located on the temple grounds, directly beside the Qub.
